Safety and Testing

At FLATOUTbear, safety is taken seriously — because every FLATOUTbear is made to be loved, cuddled and kept close for years to come.

The FLATOUTbears go through rigorous testing to meet recognised children’s toy safety standards in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, the EU and the UK, including CE testing. This ensures each FLATOUTbear meets strict requirements for materials, construction and durability. Please see below to see the standards that the FLATOUTbears comply with.

FLATOUTbears are made from 100% Australian sheepskin, a natural material that is breathable, durable and naturally anti-bacterial. With no hard or protruding features, their simple, flat design is intentionally soothing and gentle.

As with all products designed for children, we recommend following the SIDS guidelines and using a common-sense approach, particularly with newborns and young babies. Every family and situation is different, and supervision is always encouraged.

Thoughtfully designed, carefully made and thoroughly tested, FLATOUTbears are created to be enjoyed with confidence — by babies, children and adults alike.
