Pinkie arrived on the very same day as Zinnia.
She was a gift from her mum — a pink flat bear handmade from soft Australian sheepskin. From the moment she was placed beside Zinnia, Pinkie became part of the family.
Tucked under Zinnia’s arm at bedtime, slipped inside her coat for comfort, and dragged along during the day. Pinkie’s fur carries splashes of paint and is often decorated with flowery clips.
From Bali, Paris, Cambodia, and Singapore, to across the Australian countryside, no holiday ever felt complete without her. Pinkie helped unfamiliar beds feel safe and comforting. Even on simple walks, Pinkie was tagged along. Until one day, something sad happened. Pinkie was left behind. Zinnia felt her heart sink and missed her so much. From that day on, Pinkie was always the very first thing to be packed.
Years passed, filled with hugs, naps, and giggles, Zinnia and Pinkie are both ten years old and still celebrate their birthdays together. Pinkie is a little more fragile now, softened by years of cuddles and adventures. She doesn’t look new but she looks bear-y well-loved.
Pinkie is a keepsake that has witnessed Zinnia’s childhood. If Pinkie could speak, she would tell of all the wonderful adventures and the little moments that made Zinnia’s childhood magical.
