Every year on June 8, we celebrate National Best Friends Day — a day for those who bring comfort, laughter, joy, and love into our lives.
A best friend can be a sister, parent, sibling, childhood friend, or even a favourite teddy bear — the one you have loved since you were little, cuddled at bedtime, and reached for when you needed comfort most.
For Sophia, Zinnia, Savvy, and Billy, their FLATOUTbears are part of the family. Worn, faded, cuddled, and loved, they are soft little companions who comfort, soothe, and stay close through every stage of growing up.

Comforts When Needed Most
“He’s always soaked up my tears.” — Sophia
Sophia is almost twelve, and so is Mima, her worn and well-loved flat bear.
Mima has been there through it all: doctor visits, sleepless nights, hospital stays, and the challenges that came with fighting leukemia. Through the hardest days, Mima was there to hold, cuddle, and cry into.
Now, Sophia is well, and Mima is still by her side, quietly comforting and loving her just as always.

Growing Up With You
Love. Soft. Amazing.
That is how Zinnia describes Pinky, her well-loved flat bear.
Zinnia and Pinky have been together since 2015, the year Zinnia was born. Now, they are both ten.
“I sleep with Pinky every night. She’s always the first thing I pack for holidays.” — Zinnia
As Zinnia grows older, Pinky has become bear-y worn from years of love and comfort. Their story remains a timeless treasure, and one Zinnia still loves to share.

Comfort You Can Carry
‘I like sniffing it in my bed,’ says Savvy.
Gifted to her when she was just a baby, Pink Flat Bear quickly became her ultimate natural comforter. Despite its worn and faded fur, Pink Flat Bear her favourite companion.
Whether snuggled for bedtime or tucked into her backpack, Pink Flat Bear is Savvy’s little piece of home, always close no matter where she goes.

Just Being There
“I love him. I can’t lose him.” — Billy
Bear Bear has been with Billy since the day he was born.
He is missing an ear, has only one leg left, and shows every sign of years filled with cuddles, snuggles, and love. Every night, Billy holds him close, finding comfort in the soft, familiar feel of Bear Bear.
To others, Bear Bear may look worn. To Billy, he is perfect.
Because a best friend does not have to be shiny and new. Sometimes, the most loved ones are the ones who have been there all along.
